Chris did a very thorough inspection and actually took the time to go over his findings instead of just saying “I’ll email you the report”. He made sure I understood everything and answered all of my questions. He was very patient, kind, personable, and professional. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a home inspection.

Chris T. from ETHI has done 2 inspections for us and both times he went above and beyond. He communicated clearly and succinctly. His professionalism was what I noticed first. His inspection was thorough and precise. Chris showed me the inspections and hit on each point. Thank you, Chris T. and ETHIS!

10/10 Service! Evan McWhorter has done 2 inspections for us during our home-buying process. He is absolutely phenomenal. Very thorough and professional. This is our first time buying a home and he took the time to explain the issues and how to fix them. The inspection report is very detailed and doesn’t just list the issues but also how they should be fixed. Evan was very responsive, quick, and precise. I’ve already recommended East Texas Home Inspection to everyone I know that’s currently looking to buy a home.

They gave us a great inspection report document which was provided at the completion of the inspection. I talked to the inspector at the end, and he was very helpful. I would use them again.

What We Do

Our professional inspectors will spend 1 to 1.5 hours per 1000 sq. ft. evaluating all aspects of the property you are purchasing, from the roof-top to the foundation and all areas in-between We will conduct the inspection in accordance with the TREC Standards of Practice and Scope of Inspection. Keep in mind that there are a lot of variables that go into how long it will take to conduct a home inspection. Some of these factors include the size of the structure, if the structure is occupied or vacant, the design of the structure, and if other axillary components are being inspected such as sprinkler systems or swimming pools. Your inspector will not rush through the inspection but will take as long as needed to ensure that he has conducted a thorough inspection.

It is not a requirement that you be present for the inspection. However, we encourage our customers to join their inspector at the structure near the end of the inspection. Keep in mind the inspector will need uninterrupted time to thoroughly inspect the property. After the inspector completes the physical inspection, he will then go over a summary presentation with you and answer your questions.

We not only inspect the house you’re buying, but we’ll also share with you what needs to be maintained and why. You’ll get a real education about your new home. Don’t worry, we’ll explain everything in terms you can understand. We are a hassle-free company! We will also provide you with a booklet full of maintenance information you need to know about your new home in Palestine, Tyler, Longview, and all of East Texas.
